‘Bombing UN buildings and killing aid workers is a serious violation of international humanitarian law’.

′Sudan is not only the world’s worst hunger disaster, but also one of the most dangerous countries for aid workers. 2024 is the deadliest year on record for humanitarian workers. This trend must be reversed.’

‘The Zamzam camp for internally displaced persons in Sudan, the only place in the world with confirmed famine, has been under attack since early December. WFP and others have repeatedly attempted to reach Zamzam with food and medicine. Most attempts are unsuccessful.’

‘Attacks on civilians are completely unacceptable and in violation of humanitarian law.  Civilians and aid workers who work tirelessly and risk their lives to help people in distress and conflict, should and must be protected. Humanitarian aid must reach those who need it.’
