‘This marks the end of an era. Queen Elizabeth was truly remarkable in her dedication and lifelong service to her country and its people,’ said Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.
‘For seven decades she has represented continuity and stability, in the close relationship between our two countries and our Royal Families as well. Our thoughts are with the many people in the UK and the Commonwealth who have lost a beloved monarch, and with the members of the Queen’s family,’ the Prime Minister said.
