The Government’s Climate Strategy for the Foreign Service 2025–2030

Climate change is the greatest global challenge of our time. It encompasses virtually all areas of the Foreign Service's work. The linkages between climate and policy areas such as security, energy, the economy and development policy are becoming increasingly clear. This is the first time the Government has prepared a climate strategy for the Foreign Service. The strategy will help to strengthen the Foreign Service's ability to safeguard and promote Norwegian interests and priorities for climate and green transition in a more unpredictable world.
