Talks on the signing of the EEA Agreement
Norway’s Foreign Minister, Jan Petersen, and Iceland’s Foreign Minister, Halldor Asgrimsson, met with Foreign Minister Cyril Svoboda and Foreign Minister Eduard Kukan from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, respectively, in Prague today to discuss the signing of the EEA Agreement.
The talks between the four foreign ministers were open and fruitful. Mr Petersen and Mr Asgrimsson will now inform Liechtenstein’s Foreign Minister, Ernst Walch, about the talks.
Norway and Iceland intend to sign the EEA Agreement this coming week and hope that Liechtenstein will be ready to sign the Agreement at the same time.
