Today The Norwegian Ministry of Defence (Protocol Unit) received an official statement from the Russian Embassy in Oslo confirming a suspension of international defence activities with NATO-countries. As the note only generally mentions military activities without listing specifics, the Norwegian Ministry of Defence is assuming that there will be normal contact with regards to resource management, border patrol and search and rescue.

Translation of the Russian statement:
I have been given the task of informing the Norwegian military command that the Defence Minister of the Russian Federation has decided to suspend international defence activities with NATO-countries where Russian troops and the Russian Federation’s Ministry of Defence are participating.
