The General Council of the WTO noted the consensus on the slate of names of chairpersons for WTO bodies and elected ambassador Eirik Glenne of Norway as its new Chairman for a period of one year. (08.02.06)

Ambassador Eirik Glenne elected Chair in the WTO

The General Council of the World Trade Organization (WTO), on 8 February 2006, noted the consensus on the slate of names of chairpersons for WTO bodies and elected ambassador Eirik Glenne of Norway as its new Chairman for a period of one year. Ambassador Glenne is the permanent representative of Norway to the WTO in Geneva.
