Norway fulfils aid pledge to Lebanon

At the Donor Conference for Lebanon held in Paris on 25 January 2007, Norway pledged to provide assistance worth NOK 100 million to Lebanon in 2007. Preliminary figures indicate that the final amount will be NOK 98.3 million.

At the Donor Conference for Lebanon held in Paris on 25 January 2007, Norway pledged to provide assistance worth NOK 100 million to Lebanon in 2007. Preliminary figures indicate that the final amount will be NOK 98.3 million. 

In addition, Norway provided NOK 150 million to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) as general assistance in 2007, and a considerable portion of these funds have benefited Lebanon. 

The NOK 98.3 million was allocated as follows:
