Norway condemns terrorist attack in Kabul

“Norway condemns the terrorist attack outside the Indian Embassy in Kabul on Monday, in which 40 innocent civilians, including employees at the Indian Embassy, were killed, and more than 100 people were injured. There is no excuse for such terrorist actions,” said Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jonas Gahr Støre.

There is no excuse for such terrorist actions,” said Norway’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jonas Gahr Støre.

“On behalf of the Norwegian Government, I would like to express our deepest sympathy with the families of those who have been affected  and with the Afghan and Indian authorities,” Mr Støre continued.

“This brutal terrorist attack has been carried out with the sole purpose of sabotaging the on-going work to stabilise Afghanistan and the international efforts to build a foundation for peaceful development in the country. We do not want actions such as this to impede this important work. Norway will continue to honour its commitments to the Afghan people to secure development towards a peaceful and stable Afghanistan,” Mr Støre concluded.
