Recommendations of May 15, 2007, and September 13, 2013, on exclusion of Vedanta Resources Plc and Sesa Sterlite

The Council on Ethics recommended the exclsuion of the company Vedanta Resources Plc in May 2007. Please find the recommendation here: Open as pdf document
In September 2013, the Council also recommended the exclusion of the company Sesa Sterlite.
Vedanta Resources and its subsidiaries Sterlite Industries og Malco are previously excluded from the GPFG. Vedanta has been restructured and the subsidiaries are now part of the new company Sesa Sterlite, in which Vedanta has a controlling ownership interest. The restructuring does not change the companies’ operations. Accordingly, the Council has recommended the exclusion of both Vedanta and Sesa Sterlite from the investment universe of the Government Pension Fund Global.
