    Nordic Sami Convention

    Norway, Sweden and Finland have concluded negotiations on a Nordic Sami Convention. The negotiating leaders initialled the negotiated text of the convention on 13 January 2017. The proposal is now being considered by the Sami parliaments and the governments of the countries. The Sami parliaments have not yet given their approval to the proposal, and it has  not yet been signed or ratified by the states.
