German Vise-Chancellor visits Norway in January

Germanys Vise-Chancellor Robert Habeck visits Norway 5th and 6th of January 2023. Habeck will amongst other discuss Norwegian-German industry- and energy collaboration with the Norwegian Prime minister and other ministers, attend The Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise (NHO) annual conference and visit industry businesses in Brevik and Herøya.

Provisional program: 

Thursday 5th of January:  

08.45: Vise-Chancellor Robert Habeck meets Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. Minister of Petroleum and Energy Terje Aasland, Minister of Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre and Minister of Climate and Environment Espen Barth Eide will also be present. The meeting takes place at the Government Guest House at Parkveien 45, Oslo 

There is an opportunity to take photographs at the beginning of the meeting. Attendance for accredited photographers no later than 08.30 at the entrance at Riddervoldsgate 2. 10.00: Press conference with Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck and Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. The press conference will take place at the Government Guest House at Parkveien 45. 11.00: Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck attends NHOs annual conference. The conference takes place at Oslo Spektrum. Accreditation for the press through this link.  

12.20: Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck has a bilateral meeting with Minister of Petroleum and Energy Terje Aasland. They will discuss enhanced energy cooperation with a main emphasis on energy security, hydrogen and CCS. The meeting will take place in the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy in the R5 building, Akersgata 59.

14.05: Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck has a bilateral meeting with Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre. They will discuss enhanced cooperation on green industry, batteries, raw materials and the aerospace industry. The meeting will take place in the Norwegian-German Chamber of Commerce. Friday 6th of January: 

10.00: Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck visits the cement producer Norcem in Brevik, where he will be briefed on the ongoing work with CO2 capture. Minister of Petroleum and Energy Terje Aasland and Minster of Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre will accompany Habeck during the visit. Address: Setrevegen 2, Brevik.

11.45: Vice-Chancellor Robert Habeck visits the hydrogen company NEL at Herøya. The factory manufactures electrolyzers for the production of green hydrogen. Minister of Petroleum and Energy Terje Aasland and Minster of Trade and Industry Jan Christian Vestre will accompany Habeck during his visit. Address: Toromod Gjestlands vei 29, Herøya.
