Written Inquiries to the Ministry
Please note that regular email is unencrypted. We therefore encourage you not to send confidential, sensitive, or other private information via email to the ministry.

The ministry cannot respond to inquiries containing confidential information via email. Confidential information includes, for example, information about someone’s health condition. Therefore, please provide your full name and address if you wish to receive a response to such inquiries.

Freedom of Information Act
The Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion is obliged to handle all documents, including emails, in accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information Act. This means that all documents, including all mail to and from the ministry, are generally public.

Anyone who wishes can request access to the ministry’s case documents. If the document contains confidential information, the information will be redacted before access is granted.

Public Journal
The ministry is required by the Archives Act to keep a public journal. All correspondence to and from the ministry must be recorded in the journal. The following information is generally included in the public journal: sender’s name, recipient’s name, document date, and a brief description of the document’s content. However, the journal is always kept in a way that does not disclose confidential information.
