The National Insurance Court

The National Insurance Court is a quasi-judicial and independent administrative body organized under the Ministry of Labour and Inclusion.
The court handles appeals on decisions regarding social security and pension issues. Most cases come from the Norwegian Labour and Welfare Administration (NAV). The National Insurance Court was established by a separate law in 1967, the same year the National Insurance Act came into force. Read more about the history of the National Insurance Court
