The Department of Administrative Affairs (Administrasjonsavdelingen) is a staff unit for the leadership of the Ministry. The Department assists the Ministry's leadership in co-ordination, development and management of the Ministry.
The goal of the Department is to contribute to ensuring that the Ministry's resources are utilised effectively and in line with the Ministry's goals and strategies.
As regards to services, departmental tasks include personnel administration, secretary services, computer systems operation and development, archive services, internal accounting and the procurement and maintenance of office fittings and equipment.
As regards to development generally, tasks encompass user support, long-term planning, computer technology, budgetary control, pay and personnel policy, human resources planning and training, management training and career development as well as organisational and working environment issues at the workplace.
