Sigve Bolstad previously held the position as Chief Superintendent at Manglerud Police Station in Oslo. Bolstad was the head of Oslo Police Association from 2005 to 2023, before taking the position as head of the Norwegian Police Union federation from 2013 to 2022. Bolstad is from Lødingen and has studied at the State Police School (now the Norwegian Police University College) and the Norwegian Defence University College.
