Jakob Vorren (Labour Party) became State Secretary  to Minister of Transport Jon-Ivar Nygård on 9^th January 2026.

Prior to that he was Political Adviser to Minister of Transport Jon-Ivar Nygård from 14^th October 2021 and Political Adviser with The Norwegian Union of Municipal and General Employees from 2020. He was a political adviser in the Labour Party's Parliamentary Group 2019-2020 and 2018-2019, and has held various political positions, including in AUF. Vorren is educated at the University of Bergen (economics and European studies) and BI Norwegian Business School (courses in, among other things, management).
