Elroy Dimson is Emeritus Professor of Finance at London Business School. His area of expertise is long run stock market performance, asset allocation and investment strategy. Professor Dimson has taught Endowment Asset Management at London Business School, Cambridge University, and the Commonfund Institute at Yale University. He has been an Associate Editor of the Journal of Finance, Review of Finance and other journals, and is co-author of the books Triumph of the Optimists and the Global Investment Returns Yearbook 2010 and Endowment Asset Management. Professor Dimson was a member of the Ministry of Finance’s Advisory Council on Investment Strategy 2007-2009.

Antti Ilmanen is Senior Portfolio Manager at Brevan Howard. Ilmanen is a leading expert in empirical analysis for global asset allocation and yield curve trading. Ilmanen has more than twenty years experience in asset management, including positions as a central bank portfolio manager in Finland, fixed-income strategist at Salomon Brothers, managing director in charge of Citigroup’s European Fixed Income Strategy team, as well as portfolio manager and strategist at Brevan Howard. Ilmanen has published numerous articles in academic and practitioner journals and his book “Expected Returns” is scheduled to be published at the end of 2010. He has MSc degrees in Economics and Law from the University of Helsinki and a PhD in Finance from the Graduate School of Business at the University of Chicago.

Øystein Stephansen is Senior Analyst in DnB NOR Markets. His main area of responsibility is advising financial institutions with regard to strategic asset allocation and risk management. Previously, he has held positions as CIO in Vital Forsikring and CFO in Gjensidige NOR Spareforsikring ASA. This included the responsibility for the firm’s long-term investment strategy. Stephansen has experience as analyst from positions as Chief Analyst in Sparebanken NOR Markets, SEB and analyst in Nordea. Stephansen has Bachelor in Economics (hons.) from Heriot-Watt University and a MSc in Economics from London School of Economics.

Eva Liljeblom is Professor of Finance and Rector at Hanken School of Economics in Finland. Her research area has focused on pricing of financial assets, including international diversification and integration of financial markets. Professor Liljeblom has taught various courses in Finance, including Real Estate Portfolio Management. She has published numerous articles in academic journals and has experience as board member in companies such as Leonia Oyj, Stockmann Oyj and TeliaSonera AB. She is Chairman of the State Pension Fund’s Investment Consultative Committee in Finland. Professor Liljeblom was a member of the Ministry of Finance’s Advisory Council on Investment Strategy 2005-2009.
