Changes in requirements for accommodation offered to asylum seekers

It is a goal for the Government that the numbers of asylum seekers arriving in Norway are sustainable, and for arrivals to be more on a par with arrivals to our neighbouring countries.

Мета уряду полягає в тому, щоб прибуття шукачів притулку до Норвегії було збалансовано, і щоб кількість новоприбулих була на тому ж рівні як і у сусідніх країнах.
У рамках цього Міністерство юстиції та надзвичайних ситуацій видало сьогодні інструкцію Директорату у справах іноземців (UDI) та поліції, яка посилює вимоги до розміщення шукачів притулку.
Метою інструкції є зокрема роз’яснення щодо надання місця перебування особам, які шукають тимчасового колективного захисту. Особи, які шукають тимчасового колективного захисту в Норвегії та потребують розміщення в центрі прийому біженців, будуть зареєстровані і їм запропонується розміщення у Національному центрі реєстрації в Роде.
Житло більше не буде запропоноване в децентралізованих місцях реєстрації стосовно цієї групи. Люди, які приїхали в інші частини країни, ніж Національний центр реєстрації в Роде, але потребують розміщення в центрі прийому біженців, повинні будуть самі дістатися до Роде.
Крім того, інструкція передбачає обмежене використання можливості розміщення з високим стандартом, щоб сама пропозиція розміщення не сприяла ефекту атракції.
In this connection, the Ministry of Justice and Public Security has today issued instructions to the Directorate of Immigration (UDI) and the police, tightening the requirements for accommodation for asylum seekers.
One purpose of the instructions is to clarify where accommodation is to be offered to people seeking temporary collective protection. People who apply for temporary collective protection in Norway and who need accommodation in asylum reception centres will be registered and offered accommodation in connection with the National Arrivals Centre in Råde.
Accommodation will no longer be offered in connection with the decentralised registration centres for this group. People who have travelled to regions of Norway at a distance from the National Arrivals Centre in Råde and who need accommodation in an asylum reception centre must make their own way to Råde.
The instructions also mean that high-standard accommodation will be used more restrictively, to prevent the accommodation offered constituting an attraction in its own right.
