The Department of Administrative Services

The Department of Administrative Services is responsible for the Ministry's organization and systems. This includes the overall employer function in the Ministry, organizational development, personnel policy, and internal communication. The department is also responsible for work processes, security, information management, and case management systems, in addition to operational and office support functions.

The department has the following sections:

HR Section 

The section is responsible for the overall employer function in the Ministry and interaction with workers unions. This includes responsibility for the development of  personnel and payroll functions, organizational development, leadership skills, competence development, support for recruitment, employer branding, and the Ministry's internal work with inclusive working life and working environment. The section is also responsible for internal communication.

Section for Information Management and Administration

The section has overall responsibility for operating and developing the Ministry’s records and information management to ensure easy accessability to support decision-making. This includes responsibility for record-keeping, archiving, document handling, and public journal (eInnsyn).

The section is also responsible for security and emergency preparedness in the Ministry, including systematic information security work. Additionally, the section is responsible for administrative support functions and the follow-up of administrative legal matters, including privacy and data protection in the Ministry. The section also manages the Ministry’s property, internal budget and accounting, procurement services, as well as the follow-up of common services with the Ministry's Security and Service Organization and the follow-up of ICT with the Ministry's Digitalization Organization.
