The Department of Budgetary Affairs and Agency Governance

The department coordinates the management and follow-up of the ministry’s underlying agencies:

• The Norwegian Directorate of Health
• The Norwegian Institute of Public Health
• The Norwegian Medical Products Agency
• The Norwegian Radiation and Nuclear Safety Authority
• The Norwegian Board of Health Supervision
• The National Office for Health Service Appeals
• The Norwegian System of Patient Injury Compensation
• The Norwegian Healthcare Investigation Board

The department consists of the following sections

• Section for Budget and Financial Management

  The Section for Budget and Financial Management coordinates the Ministry of Health and Care Services’ work on the national budget and budget proposals throughout the year.

• Section for Governance and Analysis

  The Section for Governance and Analysis coordinates the management and follow-up of the ministry’s subordinate agencies.
