Section for the Lifestyle Determinants of Health
This section is responsible for health-promotion and preventive measures within the areas of alcohol, drugs, doping, tobacco, physical activity, diet, nutrition, dental health, and non-communicable diseases in general.
The section is also responsible for coordination of the department's international drug policy engagement, doping outside organised sports, as well as corporate governance of the State Wine monopoly (AS Vinmonopolet).
Work on diet and nutrition policy includes collaboration with the food industry, to make it easier for consumers to make healthier choices.
Beyond its domestic policy work, the section participates in international initiatives, including preventive health initiatives within the World Health Organization and the European Economic Area.
The head of section is Deputy Director General Bodil Blaker.
