Section 1
Section 1 is responsible for coordinating the department’s work on emergency preparedness, the national budget and legal matters.
The section is also responsible for statistics, the register field, analysis and coordination of international work, in addition to corporate governance responsibility for the Norwegian Board of Health Supervision, the Norwegian Healthcare Investigation Board, the County Governors in the ministry’s areas of responsibility, and the follow-up of the State’s ownership interest in NIOM AS.
The head of section is Deputy Director General Øystein Gjeset Ellingsen.
