Section for Combatting Crime (SKB)

Section for Crime Policy has the overall responsibility developing and implementing policies to prevent and counter crimes, with a particular focus on the police and prosecutorial authorities.

This includes policies to facilitate long-term management and development of the Police and Director of Public Prosecution in the areas of preventing and countering crime, and the Police Security Service in matters related to terrorist financing and sanctions. Responsibilities also include most crime-related international conventions and standards, including participation in a number of arenas in the UN, CoE, OECD, etc.The section’s overarching goal is to contribute to policy development and strategic direction to prevent and counter crime, nationally and internationally.
