  • Inorganic fertilising products

    The requirements apply to mineral fertilisers and liming materials. It also applies to plant biostimulants and composting additives other than those containing microorganisms.

  • Fruit jams, etc.

    Norway has authorised the reserved names to be used also for products defined in part I which have a soluble dry matter content of less than 60 %.

  • Organic fertilising products

    The requirements apply to the production, marketing, storage and use of the following products: Organic fertilisers, organo-mineral fertilisers, soil improvers other than liming materials, growing media, mulching materials plus composting additives and plant biostimulants with microorganisms.

  • Voluntary labelling of foods with the Keyhole

    Gives the possibility to voluntarily label and present foods with the Keyhole. The Keyhole symbol is linked to the food’s content of fat, sugars, dietary fibre or salt in different food groups.

  • Food Contact Materials

    Requirement on Declaration of Compliance for all types of food contact materials. Maximum limits for Cd and Pb in release of metals from articles made of glass, metal and non-ceramic materials without enamel coatings. Maximum limits for Pb, Cd and Ba from ceramics

  • Fruit juices

    Norway has authorised the use of a traditional name for apple juice.

  • Food supplements

    National maximum limits for folic acid, magnesium, vitamin C, calcium and vitamin D in food supplements.Particular requirements for labelling of food supplements containing specific amounts of folic acid, calcium, vitamin C and vitamin D per daily portion.

  • Food information to the consumers

    To require foods marketed to the final consumers to be labelled in Norwegian.

  • Vitamins, minerals and certain other substances to foods

    Chapter II contains supplementary national provisions relating to the addition of vitamins and minerals to foods, excluding food supplements. Chapter III contains supplementary national provisions regarding the addition of certain “other substances” to foods, including food supplements. Chapter IV contains miscellaneous provisions.

  • Plant protection products

    Harmonised rules for the approval of active substances and the placing on the market of plant protection products. Different specified requirements in connection with import of plant protection products.

  • Trans fatty acids

    Setting maximum levels for the content of trans fatty acids in foods.

  • Seed of oil and fibre plants

    Requirements to seeds applies to the production with a view to marketing, import and the marketing of seed of oil and fibre plants. Different specified requirements in connection with import of seed of oil and fibre plants.

  • Vegetable seed

    Requirements to seeds applies to the production with a view to marketing, import and the marketing of vegetable seed. Different specified requirements in connection with import of vegetable seed.

  • Beet seed

    Requirements to seeds applies to the production with a view to marketing, import and the marketing of beet seed. Different specified requirements in connection with import of beet seed.

  • Cereal seed

    Requirements to seeds applies to the production with a view to marketing, import and the marketing of cereal seed. Different specified requirements in connection with import of cereal seed.

  • Fodder plant seed

    Requirements to seeds applies to the production with a view to marketing, import and the marketing of seed. Different specified requirements in connection with import of fodder plant seed.
