Pressemelding | Dato: 07.09.2026 | Utenriksdepartementet
The allocation of media positions on the day of the funeral, 9 September, is now final.
The number in brackets specifies the number of positions allocated to each media outlet at the respective media position. Technical personnel are not included.
Decisions regarding the allocation are final and cannot be appealed.
Important information
Accredited media have received a “Confirmation of media accreditation” by email from the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (post@arkon.email).
Media representatives must hold both an accreditation card and a media position card to access the designated media positions along the procession route, in addition to valid photo ID.
Please note that position cards are not personal. It is up to each media organisation to decide which accredited individuals will use its allocated position.
If you do not wish to use the media position allocated to you, we would appreciate it if you could let us know, so that the position can be offered to another media representative.
Accreditation cards and media position cards will be distributed at the Press Centre in Professorboligen at the University of Oslo, Karl Johans gate 47, on Tuesday 8 September 2026, between 09:00 and 23:00 CEST.
If your media organisation has been assigned more than one position, all media position cards must be collected by one accredited person from your media organisation.
Accreditation cards must be collected in person at the Press Centre, unless otherwise agreed.
Valid photo ID is required (passport, Norwegian driving licence or ID card from an EU/EEA country). Digital ID is not accepted.
You may re-enter your position after leaving. However, re-entry cannot be guaranteed due to large crowds.
A host and security personnel will be present at each position.
