Gratulasjonsbrev til Kinas statsminister

Dear Premier Li Qiang

I would like to extend my warmest congratulations on your appointment as Premier of the People’s Republic of China.

Our two countries share interests in several areas, particularly with regards to global commons. China’s support and leadership are essential in order to respond to global challenges. I look forward to continuing our cooperation on matters of mutual interest, both bilaterally and within the framework of the United Nations.

The bilateral relationship between Norway and China has enjoyed a period of steady and constructive development in recent years, with increased economic cooperation, dialogue and political consultations. I hope that we can continue to build on this momentum moving forward.

Next year will mark 70 years of diplomatic relations between Norway and the People’s Republic of China. This will provide an excellent opportunity to increase people-to-people contact, trade and cultural exchange, as well as to reflect on what our countries have achieved so far and look to the future.

I wish you and your Government every success with the important tasks that lie ahead. I look forward to working together to advance our cooperation at the highest level.
