Norway's Prime Minister remembers Johannes Rau

Norway's Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg today sent the following message of condolences to the German Social Democratic Party, on the occasion of the death of former German President Johannes Rau:

"A towering figure in European Social Democracy has passed away with the death of Johannes Rau. Johannes Rau had many friends in Norway, and played a vital role in the political relations between Norway and Germany, also in the years when he was German president. I ask you to convey our condolences also to Johannes Rau's family.
