The Norwegian Special Envoy to the peace process in Sri Lanka, Mr. Jon Hanssen-Bauer, is still in Sri Lanka to continue the dialogue with the Government of Sri Lanka and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in regard to a meeting in Geneva as soon as possible. (21.04.06)

Norwegian Special Envoy Jon Hanssen-Bauer still in Sri Lanka
The Norwegian Special Envoy to the peace process in Sri Lanka, Mr. Jon Hanssen-Bauer, is still in Sri Lanka to continue the dialogue with the Government of Sri Lanka and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) in regard to a meeting in Geneva as soon as possible.
‘It is positive that the dialogue with respect to finding a date for the peace talks, and a practical arrangement for LTTE’s transport needs in this regard continues’, said Norwegian Minister of International Development, Erik Solheim.
